Day 219: Cover To Cover Books

Day 219 of 365…

Cover to Cover Books in Uptown Village of Vancouver WAToday I discovered a cool book store in Uptown Village. Well, I’ve actually known about it for quite some time since some very dear friends of mine are regulars there but actually went inside today! Cover To Cover Books is that quintessential book store on the corner. Upon entering I realized this is a much larger store than I imagined! I was curious what sort of books they carry and thought you might too. They just so happen to answer this on their FAQ Page.

Don’t be misled by our small shop front. We are a large store with over 2000 square feet of shop space, with plenty of seating and espresso drinks for your enjoyment. Cover to Cover Books has more than 25,000 books of all sorts. Most of our titles are used, but we also carry new books. Our areas of emphasis are Military History, Metaphysics, Collectibles, Science Fiction and Fantasy, Fiction, Childrens and Young Adult, and History. We will special order new books. We provide out-of-print book search services for a small additional fee.

There are several seating areas throughout the store so you can sit, relax and peruse a book or two. You might want an espresso, tea, Italian soda or smoothie while wandering the store. They can make it for you here! They carry an insane amount of books and it’s very well laid out. They do not pay cash for books but do offer in-store credit towards other books if you are inclined. You’ll also find poetry nights, book signings, writers groups and more on Cover To Cover Books Event page.

Thanks for the video! The owner is a friend of mine and I visited the store several times on my last trip to the US, so by seeing it again I could relive some happy memories of a lovely summer vacation.
