Day 296 of 365…
Today I was craving some Mexican food and hadn’t been to an old favorite of ours in a while. I was out in Fishers Landing so stopping in at Catedral Tapatia Authentic Mexican Food & Cantina was very convenient.
As I mentioned, Catedral Tapatia has been a favorite of ours for several years. Their food is always good which is a huge plus. The restaurant is quite spacious and has a fun Mexican flavor to it. I love all the bright murals they have all over the inside. In addition to your standard chips and salsa they serve you a bowl of their re-fried beans which is great with the salsa mixed in.
Today I had their Thursday lunch special which consisted of a Chile Relleno, a taco (I got pork), beans and rice. Everything was great. The pork was flavorful and very tender and the Chile Relleno was wonderful. Their batter is very light and it isn’t at all heavy to eat. An excellent meal for only $6.50!
In addition to their great restaurant they have a full service Cantina on the lower level. Something great to note is that on Friday and Saturday nights this is a Karaoke spot for all you wannabe singers. To learn what times they do Karaoke I’d call and ask.
