Day 32 of 365…

Columbia Little League at David Douglas ParkHot sunny day. Smell of hot dogs and popcorn in the air. Sunflower seeds. Cheers coming from all around you. Steeerike heard from behind home plate. The crack of the bat on the ball… These are the memories of David Douglas Park for me. Between 1975 and the mid/late 1980’s my family and I lived at this park. My brother and I played baseball for Columbia Little League and both my parents were heavily involved as well. This was our “summer home”.

David Douglas Park is not only home to Columbia Little League, it’s also home to Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation Softball program. It also features lots of playground equipment, basketball courts, open space to run and play and a huge paved loop trail that covers most of the park. So if you’re looking for a place to play, have a picnic, go for a run, ride, maybe a game of baseball or softball… Check out David Douglas Park.

David Douglas Park is located at 1016 N. Garrison Road Vancouver, WA 98664. It is just North of Mill Plain Blvd.

Get up, head out and explore this fun park and all it has to offer.
