Day 332 of 365…

Martin Luther King Day tree planting by Vancouver Watersheds CouncilIf you’ve never done a tree planting I would suggest you do. I remember my first one at Clark College about 20 years ago. I still think of it every time I drive down McLoughlin Blvd and see “my tree”. It’s now SIGNIFICANTLY larger than the day I placed it in the ground with a group of friends all those years ago.

This coming Monday, January 17th, 2011 you have an opportunity to take part in the Martin Luther King Day Tree Planting. It is hosted by Vancouver Watersheds Council and will be a great opportunity to give to our community and also to the planet.

The Martin Luther King Day Tree Planting will be from 8:30am to 12pm and you’ll meet at Fort Vancouver High School. You can either help with the tree planting or help with clean up. All the work will be done along Burnt Bridge Creek by the school. If you plan to attend there are several pages you need to fill out. Please head over to Vancouver Watersheds Council Events Page to register.

Fort Vancouver High School is located at 5700 E 18th Street, Vancouver, WA. You can look at the Martin Luther King Day Tree Planting event on Facebook and can also connect to Vancouver Watersheds Council on Facebook too.
