Day 268 of 365…

Today is Veterans Day and I can think of nothing better to do than honor the men and women who have served and sacrificed for our freedoms. The first Veterans Day was established November 11, 1919 by President Woodrow Wilson. The proclamation was…

“To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with lots of pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations.”

The following video is the nearest and dearest to my heart as I think of Veterans Day. Take the time to watch it and then call your loved Veteran. Hug them. Tell them you love them. Thank a soldier. Send a letter. Visit a widow. Visit a graveside. Buy a meal for a soldier. Shake their hand…

To my veteran, I love you!
