Cherished memories growing up in Vancouver

Once again, the annual Vancouver, WA Sausage Fest is upon us. Born and raised in Vancouver, this annual event has a special place in my heart. People who aren’t from around here don’t really get it. As a kid, it was THE place to hang out for the entire weekend. You got to ride rides, hang out, eat great food, cause trouble, play games and just be kids.

As we got older, it became more of a reunion place. A place to reconnect with some childhood friends that you may not see on a regular basis. But, you always know you’ll run into someone you know at the Sausage Fest. It’s a place to watch local talent perform. Dancers, singers, drummers, cloggers, groups… Just plain old fun.

Food, Glorious Food

Yes, food! This is a highlight of the Fest. Beer sausage, corn on the cob, Irish sundaes, ribs, burgers, chicken AND elephant ears! Some truly great grub that is worth heading over for all by itself.

The Sausage Fest is happening at St. Joseph School & Parish Grounds located at 6500 Highland Drive, Vancouver, WA.

I’m planning to head over on Saturday night to check out The Retros at 7:45PM (how could I pass on an 80’s night?). If you’re going to be there, make sure to hit me up and say hi. Ping me at 360.260.3253.
